Make a Big Difference
in the Life of a Dog:
Join Army’s Army!

There are so many ways we can use your help.

Army’s Legacy Belongs to All of Us .

Whether you volunteer, adopt, bring us an animal in need, fund the cause, foster, provide a service, or share our vision with others… You are building Army’s Legacy™.

Army’s Legacy is our legacy, and YOURS!  Most importantly, it is each of the animals affected by our work…and the legacy each of them create. Open your heart and help create a movement that lasts forever.

Adoption .

What to expect when adopting

See our Legacies’ profiles here!  Army’s Legacy is careful to ensure that every Legacy is placed into a forever home. Applications are not first come, first served.  The best fit for a Legacy and family is critical.  Army’s Legacy does not engage in nepotism.  When adopting a Legacy, expect the following:

Adoption applicant fills out an application

Adoption applicant gives permission to adopter’s veterinarian to speak with Army’s Legacy. Please note that all animals living with the adoption applicant must be up to date on vaccinations and altered unless medically exempt

Army’s Legacy will process the application

Army’s Legacy will conduct a short phone interview with the adoption applicant

Home visit

Army’s Legacy will conduct a home visit (either virtual or live)

A meet with the specific Legacy of interest with family and other pets

The adopters and Army’s Legacy will decide if the Legacy is the right fit for the family

Hosting A Legacy .
What to expect when becoming a Legacy Host

Army’s Legacy provides all necessary items (crate, food, leash, harness, vetting, any training necessary, etc.) to make the Legacy comfortable and the best he/she can be while in a Legacy Host’s responsibility.

A Legacy host will provide a home environment for the Legacy. This includes:

  • Caring for Legacies as their own

  • Providing a safe and stable environment until a forever home is found

  • If necessary, bringing the Legacy to appointments and adoption events

  • Getting to know Legacies and their quirks

Army’s Legacy depends on Legacy hosts to foster and love Legacies during their transition to a new life.

Entrust an Animal to Become a Legacy .

All animals deserve a safe and respected life.  Find a solution for an animal in need by entrusting your pet into the Army’s Legacy Animal Rescue and Sanctuary family.
